My day started off with breakfast at Cupping Room Café in Soho. Nothing wrong with eating alone and I encourage all to dine (and/or wine) alone at least once in your life!
My breakfast was fine; there was nothing especially amazing about what I ate. After eating I walked around Soho and hopped into a few shops, but nothing caught my eye. Was also on the lookout for any celebs since last time I was here I missed seeing Rihanna by literally one second! She was coming out of a MAC store and was surrounding by paparazzi, security and fans.
I made my way uptown to the Met Cloisters museum to make use of the Met museum pass I got the day before. It was $28! The train ride was kinda long, but I finally made it in time to give myself about 2.5 hours to view the museum.
Once you get off the subway stop you have to walk through a park that winds up to where the museum is situated. And what a beautiful museum it is! The grounds make you feel like you’re in the Middle Ages – at least I felt like that. There’s also a terrace that gives you a great view of the water. I wish my mom was with me, she would’ve loved it!
Since it’s part of the Met family, the “Heavenly Bodies” exhibit was also found at the Cloisters.
After the Met I went to the Spotted Pig and had a sandwich while my friend tried pig ear. The pig ear didn’t taste like anything to me.
Instead of having dessert at the restaurant we went to Big Gay Ice Cream Shop which is pretty famous in NYC and had some ice cream! It was great! The line went literally out the door, but it went by quick.
Next we went to a rooftop since I have a thing for rooftops and had a few drinks there and admired the city. Would def recommend everyone to check out 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar! I got a froseé which was really great.
The night ended with Korean food that I had a little bite of since it was super late! Whenever I eat late at night I get nightmares. Weird, but true!
That's all for my adventures in NYC for now! Until next time!
